This picture taken on November 2, 2009, shows devotees performing rituals at the prominent Hindu temple of Koneswara in the eastern port district of Trincomalee, some 259 kms from the capital Colombo. Residents say devotees now attend the temple in their thousands since the end of the military conflict with the Tamil Tiger rebels in May. Trincomalee port with its Sri Lankan Naval presence came under constant attacks from the rebels during the three decade old separatist conflict, resulting in strict security checks for civilians travelling in the district.
