Danskerne er vågnet op til bidende kulde i dag. Meteorologerne spår, at frostvejret når sibiriske dybder i weekenden. De lave temperaturer kommer fra Østeuropa, hvor den hårde frost har kostet adskillige mennesker livet de seneste dage. Se billederne fra et dybtrossent Europa

Den stikkende kulde, som har ramt landet de seneste dage, når sit foreløbige højdepunkt i weekenden. Sådan lyder meldingen fra Danmarks Meteorologiske Institut (DMI), som forventer kulderekord for året indtil nu. Her er det et strandhus ved Faxe Ladeplads, der er dækket af is.

In whole, during the period of bitter frosts, 63 people have died. In particular, 8 people died in hospitals and 41 people were found in the streets. 2nd February 2012
